Teak (Tectona grandis)

Information & Maintenance Guide

IMG_0438.JPG

We’d like to take this opportunity to thank you for choosing to buy our teak decking boards. Your purchase is supporting forest restoration, countering global warming, and helping communities in rural Ghana, where inward investment is crucial.

We hope you are pleased with our product, and it becomes a valued part of your project.

Colour & Grain

Rich caramel heartwood or cream sapwood. Variation between boards is natural, not a defect. Colour matures beautifully with sunlight.

Natural Patina

Untreated teak silvers gracefully over time — a sign of quality, not decay. Restore the honey tone with a light sand, stiff brush or pressure wash anytime.

Grip & Oils

Teak's natural silica provides excellent grip even when wet. Its natural oils will naturally repel fungi (i.e. lichen), termites and water.
